Former President of Bolivia: Global issues are evolving, AI becomes hot | SFC Markets and Finance

From December 1st to 3rd, the "2025 Imperial Springs International Forum" kicked off in Guangzhou.

Jorge Quiroga, Former President of Bolivia (2001-2002), interviewed by SFC journalist, expressed that, for this year’s forum, all the different topics are in vogue. “If you think back eight or nine years ago, we were not talking about artificial intelligence. But ever since ChatGPT came out in November 2022, and with the emergence of China’s DeepSeek, artificial intelligence has certainly been put on the agenda.”

He concluded that the agenda of forum changes based on global developments, “but we strive to reflect on and address the issues that are ongoing and current in a world where we can all contribute, suggest ideas, exchange views, and also engage with Chinese policymakers”.
