On August 29 Changchun Zoological and Botanical Park hosted a Romantic Qixi Festival: Journey to the West event.

On site, characters like the Shelly Senbei Monkey and Buddhist monk Tang Sanzang celebrated the Qixi Festival with visitors, personally handing out grapes as a symbol of sweetness and happiness.Over the past two years, Changchun's Journey to the West Theme Park has become a sensation for regional cultural tourism, drawing crowds in droves. 

Changchun Zoological and Botanical Park has crafted its activities around the 1986 TV adaptation of Journey to the West, featuring faithful recreations of scenes and characters. At the venue, various IP characters from the story interact closely with visitors, evoking childhood memories across generations.
