Multinationals on China | Bain & Company's Richard Webster shows optimism about China's consumption

In an interview with SFC, Richard Webster, Partner and Head of Global Consumer Products at Bain & Company, expressed strong optimism about the future of China's consumer market. Despite recent challenges like increased competition and slowing demand, Webster emphasized that China continues to see growth in consumer volumes, reflecting the resilience of the market.

Webster also highlighted the growing trend of Chinese consumer goods companies expanding internationally. As these companies seek to tap into global opportunities, they bring innovative products and services to new markets, solidifying China's position as a global leader in the consumer sector.
